How to use your
Calendar and Points Directory
The Calendar reflects the start and end dates for the various
resorts.
Each resort in a geographic region has been graded according
to Peak, High, Mid or Low wee ks, and can be found in the Points
section
Refer to the Points section of the directory to establish the
number of points needed to book a holiday in that particular
resort and time period.
You can then cross reference this with the Calendar code (P1,
High, Low, etc) to see if you have enough points for that
particular module chosen.
If you are unsure of the amount of points you have available,
our friendly travel specialists will gladly assist you with this
information. Bear in mind that you may save points from the
previous year, borrow from next year's and use them all in
conjunction with the current year's points. However, you may
only book a holiday if your fees are up to date.
Remember, the earlier you book, the better your chances of
confirming your ideal holiday. |

How to book
Once you have decided on the perfect holiday, follow these simple
reservation procedures:
1. You can e-mail or fax (014) 736 3501 your request to Central
Reservatison on reservations@funseekers.co.za or reservations2@funseekers co.za to book your holiday. Always
quote your name and membership number when making a
reservation.
Call (014)736 8900 for any assistance or queries.
2. In addition to your first choice, have a few alternatives on hand,
to avoid disappointment. All requests are subject to availability
and on a first-come, first-serve basis. Should there not be an
immediate match, please ask the travel specialist to add your
request to the waiting list. You will be notified immediately once
you request is confirmed.
3. You will receive written confirmation from our Central
Reservations. Please check that all the details are correct and ensure you arrive at your destination with your confirmation letter,
as you will need it to check into the resort, and it also contains
important information about the resort, its services, amenities and
any extra charges. |
| |
Important points to remember:
Always write down the name of the travel specialist
you deal with.
The earlier you book your holiday, the better your chances of an early confirmation.
From time-to-time and for various reasons, some of
the resorts listed may not be participating in the exchange scheme during your requested time.
If your request is not immediately available, keep contacting Central Reservations. |

Advance banking
and points usage
FunSeekers allows members the flexibility to bank all unused points for a
particular year. These points will then be automatically added to the
allocated points for the following year. For example: should a member
have a portfolio of 100 points and in year 1 uses only 85 points the 15
unused points may be carried over to the following year (year 2). This will
give the member 115 points to use in year two. What this simply means
is that you don't immediately loose what you don't use.
A member also has the benefit of using their following year's points in
advance, if they are short of points for an exchange in the current year. To
qualify for this benefit, all membership fees must be paid up in full, and the
travel specialist will do the rest. |
| |
Reservation cancellations
FunSeekers' cancellation policy has been put in place to ensure that no
units go unnecessarily unoccupied.
It is important to note that all cancellations must be made in writing to
Central Reservations on (014) 736 8833. Such notification to cancel must
be received at least 31 days prior to occupation date, to receive a full
credit of your points. If you cancel 30 days or less prior to check-in date,
you will loose 100% of your points.
Should a member cancel a booking, they will be liable to pay for the
exchange fee incurred.
This cancellation policy may be changed from time-to-time. |

More choices
Midweek or weekend breaks
Short breaks at many of FunSeekers resorts are a popular choice for
members, especially for those who are able to take their holidays out of
peak season. These breaks are only available at certain times of the year,
out of high-demand seasons and in resorts that can accommodate these
breaks.
Midweek breaks, from Monday afternoon to Friday morning, require 25%
of the weekly point’s allocation in the Calendar and Points Directory.
Weekend breaks, from Friday afternoon to Monday morning, require 75%
of the weekly point’s allocation in the Calendar and Points Directory.
Rental options
If you are not planning to use your points and need some extra income,
you can book a week and rent it out to family, friends or in the local
newspaper. Once your guest has decided where they want to go, you can
make a booking in the usual way. Please note that as the owner of the
points, you will be held responsible for all acts, omissions, expenses or
damages caused by your guests.

| |
Bonus breaks
This is a popular benefit for members wanting to take affordable,
additional holidays in areas and low demand periods throughout the year,
and are subject to availability.
Bonus fees vary according to resort grading, season and unit size, and are
adjusted annually by RCI.
